We gather information to deliver services to you, keep you informed about the effects of your support, and share updates regarding promotions or unique offerings. God's Way Foundation understands the importance of handling and utilizing your information with care and responsibility.

Privacy Policy Overview

God's Way Foundation operates several social media accounts and websites (such as https://www.godswayfoundation.org/) and offers services related to donations, both online and offline (collectively, the “Services”), along with engaging with you directly. The Privacy Policy outlined below pertains to visitors of our Services, donors, staff from our non-profit and corporate partners, vendors, and job candidates (collectively, “you”). It explains how we manage personal information linked to our Services and interactions with you. This Privacy Policy details the personal information we gather, its usage, and the options available to you.

We obtain information from you whenever you engage with our Services or take actions within them. This data helps us deliver and oversee our Services, improve your overall experience, and refine our website.

To review your information, adjust your preferences, request its removal, or withdraw your consent, please visit our 'Contact Us' section
. Unless specified below, we will not exchange, distribute, or sell your personal information to others. See the Privacy Policy below for full details.

Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information that you voluntarily share with us:

  • Donation Details: When you donate, we collect the project name, donation amount, and your address (for Gift Aid purposes). You might also share a note explaining why you chose the cause, along with your name, general location, and any personal message for the recipient.

  • Fundraising Data: If you start a fundraiser for a project on God's Way Foundation, we collect details about the projects you support or propose. We notify the project leader about the fundraiser but do not share your personal information with them or the project itself. Any content you post on the fundraiser page is visible to website visitors.

  • Contact Information: This includes your first and last name, organization name (if relevant), physical address, email address, and phone number. If you set up a profile or launch a fundraiser on God's Way Foundation, you may optionally provide additional details like your mailing address, a photo, or your favorite projects.

  • Communications: This covers any interactions we have with you, such as when you reach out with questions, feedback, or other inquiries.

  • Contests, Promotions, and Surveys: From time to time, we may offer contests, special promotions, or online surveys. We collect the information you choose to submit, which may be linked to your God's Way Foundation profile if you have one.

  • Marketing Preferences: We gather data on your preferences for receiving our marketing materials and how you interact with them.

  • Payment Information: Credit card numbers are collected briefly and handled by a third-party payment processor compliant with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards—we do not store them. For payments via PayPal, Apple Pay, M-PESA/M-Changa, or similar services, their respective terms of service and privacy policies apply, and we recommend reviewing them (see Third-Party Transfers section).

  • Other Information: We may collect additional data not listed here, which we’ll use as outlined in this Privacy Policy or as explained when it’s collected.

If you share personal information about a third party with us, you must ensure they’re aware of this Privacy Policy and have given their consent.

Automatic Data Collection

We, along with our service providers and business partners, may automatically gather and integrate information about you, your computer or mobile device, and your interactions with our Services, online resources, and communications over time. This includes:

  • Online Engagement Data: We track information such as the pages or screens you visit, the time spent on each, the site you came from before reaching our Services, navigation between pages or screens, actions taken on a page or screen, access times, session duration, and your interactions with our communications—like whether you open our marketing emails or click on links or files within them.

How We Use Personal Information

We use your personal information for the purposes outlined below or as otherwise indicated when it’s collected:

We rely on legitimate interests for processing only when these do not outweigh your rights or freedoms. Where we use your information for legitimate interests or direct marketing, you can object to this processing. If we process your information based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us (see “Contact Us” below). Your updated preferences will apply moving forward, without affecting prior lawful processing.
